The Great Christmas Tree

Santa claus was just driving his sleigh to the mall but on the way  he saw a massive christmas tree. It was decorated with red shiny bulbs. It was shiny like a sun. “It was the greatest tree of all” said Santa. Santa was thinking and thinking and said “ This should be my christmas tree”. “I reckon I should put it in my sleigh as fast I could” said Santa.

But when he lifted up it fell on his sleigh. Oh no!!! said Santa. He tried to lift it up but it stuck on his sleigh for good. He tried a lot of stuff but it still didn’t work. What I am going to do and the christmas party is nearly going to in an hour.

Santa was thinking and he said “ Maybe I should just ride my sleigh and then it will come off then I lift it up again and chuck inside my sleigh”. Finally I did it. I should hurry up and go to the mall the party is about to start in ten minutes.

Finally he made just in time and all the kids was wishing what they wanted for christmas.

My Favourite Toy is Darts because it is sometimes dangerous. But I always win when I verse my family

Netbook Reflection 2013

I love my netbook is because it makes us smarter and brainy. My favourite subject I like to do with my netbook is Maths, Because it has Xtramath and Math whizz. Xtramath is like basic facts and math whizz is fun and exciting. Netbooks are really helpful if you just started school. Because they might just come from another country.

My netbook frustrates me because it sometimes freeze when you’re doing something important. The other I kind of hate about my netbook is that it                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       
                                                                                                                                                                            sometimes turns off by itself and sometimes my mouse doesn't work. It annoys me because its sometime slow or doesn't work.

Last year I was at another school called Saint Pius X ,the school had netbooks. It was the year six, seven,eight were only allow to use their netbooks. Netbooks are way better than books and pencils. Netbooks faster and makes you smarter,But sometimes paper and pencil are sometimes cool.

But I think Netbooks are way cooler.                                                                                                           

Sand Flies

Swimming Pools

Rooms fifteen, sixteen and seventeen went to the swimming pools every day.  We changed as fast as we could and I was the first one to get changed into my togs. When I stepped inside the gate of the swimming pools I could smell the strong chlorine.  

Mr. Somerville said to check our feet because it might be dirty or muddy. We all said “Nope”.  We all stepped in at once, “So cold.” Said Lee.
But I said “Nah its not cold”. We all took a deep breath and went under the water.


Mr. S said “Everyone we are going play a game boys go to the right side girls go to the left.” Once we we got to the other side, Mr. S threw the ball we all swam splashing furiously to the ball. “Yeah!” shouted the girls. Finally it was ten all, Mr. S said “First one to eleven is the winner.”  Mr. S threw the ball in the air, it hit the water and all the girls and boys were so excited because they didn’t know who’d got the tennis ball. “No!” shouted Anthony.  

The girls told us to dougie out of the pools for twenty seconds. So all the boys got out of the pool and dougie’d for twenty seconds. Finally we had to get changed and we all ran to the toilets as fast as we could. I changed into my uniform and I was dry and clean. We waited a while because other people were still changing in the toilets. After swimming we all went to have our morning tea.

Hulk Smash

Hi its Faaiua here. My favourite super hero is hulk smash because he is strong and green my favourite colour is green.

The Bleeding Stunt

One sunny day  there was free runners, free runners will always try to jump to the wall to the other. They lived in a cottage a very very small cottage. there names were Jordan and Henry, They are very small but tall.

Jordan jumped and done a front flip high in the air, “Wow” said henry. henry jumped and tried to do a stunt but when he got to the other wall he was bleeding like a raspberry drink tipped into the the ground. “Ahhh" said henry with pain.

Jordan ran as fast as he could to Henry. Henry said “ call nine one one one.Jordan ran to the cottage and got the phone and called the ambulance. The ambulance and the police came as fast as they could.

Finally the ambulance came the doctors came and checked on him as fast as he could. The doctors lifted him into the cot. Jordan was relieved that Henry didn't die. A week after the bleeding stunt henry was fine.

Henry and Jordan didn’t  freerunning that day forward.

Ugly zombies

One scary night there was a king called faaiua. The country where he lived was europe. But in that country there was zombies, the zombies was so so hungry. But there was a mummy that came to save all the people but the zombies were to strong.

but the problem was that the people was to scared to fight with the zombies because they were ugly and freaky, The people had no guns and no swords to kill the zombies. The zombies was coming closer and closer to the people. “AAAAAH”shouted tame.
Tame was the slave of king Faaiua, Faaiua wasn't scared of anything because his friends, Henry,Vaifoa and Lukis. So all the friends went freaky zombies, Faaiua had a rope for choking the freaky zombies, Lukis got some rocks to throw at the ugly zombies, Henry had slingshot to shoot at the scary zombies and Vaifoa had a stick to hit the zombies. All the zombies were dieing, Vaifoa got the stick and hit the ugly zombies. Lukis got all the rocks and threw it to the ugly zombies. Henry shot the zombies with his slingshot, “aaaw” said the zombies. Finally king had got his rope “ Yes” said faaiua because he choked the zombies.

Faaiua and his country lived happily ever after

The Ant Army

the Talking Trees

One cloudy day there was a forest called Prickly bushes, in that forest there was a dad called Anthony. Anthony was going for a walk with his son to the talking trees his son jacob. Because Jacob haven't seen a talking tree in his life.

But when Anthony got there was a bushes, the bushes was very very prickly. They tried to jump over but  they still didn’t make it through. So they ran up the hill but there was still millions of bushes up there.

So Anthony threw Jacob over, but Jacob wasn't strong enough to pull him over. But luckily there was hole at the bottom of the prickly bush. He nearly couldn't fit because he was wearing a T- Shirt, but when Anthony got out of the bush Jacob was still there sitting down on the rocks.

Finally Anthony and his Jacob had made it to the talking trees. Anthony said “Jacob here it is son”. It was quite scary but he got , Jacob was so happy when he saw the talking tree. When king David said to Jacob “ When you have a son come with him to the talking trees”.

Never Robbing Again

Once upon a time there was a massive shop called Sylvia Park. There were evil people inside and one of their names was Rob. His nickname is Robber because he is good at robbing shops and houses.

When Rob went to the laundromat and he stuffed all his clothes inside and turned the washing machine on, he went to the shops and had some lunch. But when Rob got back to the washing machine his shorts were tiny like his sons pants. He said “OH NO!!!”.

So Rob asked Jack if he could take him to his lab and make his shorts bigger. So he pushed him inside his lab and there it was the all new Three Sixty machine, which shrinks or makes things bigger. He was so scared because his shorts might be too big. But it was the same size as him and he said “ YAAAY”.

After he wore his pants Rob felt like he didn't want to steal any more. Rob lived never stealing again.

The Melting beach

Once upon a time there were two big strong strangers on a beach in Samoa. They were out for a very long time on the beach. If they stayed there even longer they might have melted.

“I know they will melt” I said. They tried to stay there for a very long time but they couldn't. When they reached in their pockets they had no phones because it had been stolen.


So they went in the water to make themselves cold and cool. Some water was all mixed around his body. So they told someone to use their phone please. So they  gave their phones to them and called the doctors to come and take them to the hospital. When they got their they were dieing just in five hours.



In the last minute they nearly died but luckily they made it just in time. After that day they never went to the beach ever again. They lived happily ever
after.

My Family

My name is Faaiua I am the second oldest in my siblings. My sister named Brandy she is in college and she is year nine. My sister’s name is Pisirina she is year one. My youngest is two years old he is my favourite because he is cute and he is a boy. My Mum is smart she is very very cool and she is thirty five years. My dad is a builder he is very strong he is thirty five. They are the best family in the world the only thing I want is my family.

Moving In

On Friday my auntie Line and my cousin piula are come from samoa here to live because Piula’s brother is moving to australia to live there. So Piula is going to live here but my auntie is going to live here for about two or one or three or more weeks. It is going to be cool because my auntie LIne is kind and Piula is kind too. I hope my other cousin looks after himself when he’s gone to australia. But luckily my uncle lives there.

Wearing your uniform

Wearing your uniform is really really good because thats how you know which school you come from. When you come from school you wear with pride and respect. I think if you don't wear it you're not showing respect to your school and your family. But sometimes some people don't like wearing their uniform because it can get dirty and muddy. The best thing the students should do is to do the right thing. The best day to wear no uniform is at home, trip and mufti day. The people in my class sometimes like to wear it because it is mighty red and mighty black. We are lucky because we wear any shoes we want and any hair. Some people think that it is bad but it is good and really  good to wear if you wear something inside you have to take it off but only the black you can wear.

Teamwork

This week I have been reading the story Teamwork by Maria Samuela. One of the characters Lucy was sad and angry when Ina didn’t pass the ball to her.

The School Cross Country.

One day Pt.England had been doing cross country. We got changed into our house colours, My colour was Takitimu yellow. I was happy when my friend was in my team. Our house captain was Kayde. It was a hot sunny day so we had water and food before we had to run.

When I was at the start line it was muddy and soggy. When we took off all the nine year olds always get other people dirty and ugly. I got to the bridge and I was scared because it was broken into parts! It started to go harder and lost but luckily the martials was there to tell us where to go. The funny moments was when I was shuffling in the mud trying to go up the small hill. When I passed some people they were exhausted and lazy because I think that they forgot that they had cross country tomorrow and went to sleep at midnight. The track was uneven, slippery, broken bridges, zigzagging tracks, mud squishing, smelly mud creek. I said to my friend that  “I will come last” But I jogged with determination and desire.

When I heard the crowd shouting with excitement I was happy and tiring. I saw my friends so I jogged up to them and we jogged together through the finish line. I saw my team they said “Yay!!!”  I sat down and took my muddy shoes off and went to the tap to have a drink and wash off the dirty mud on my legs. When my friend sat down he said “Come here” we played and watch the intermediate students and the juniors sprint to the finish line.


I thought cross country will be that hard but it was the best day ever and the laziest day ever.

Sausages

On a hot beutifull day room fifteen and Mr Marks had been doing sausages.
The first thing we had to do was chop the onions. When we were doing the onions Anthony said “ I can handle the onions” So he tryed and tryed but he cried so he put some water on his eyes. Then it was my turn to chop the onions it was fun and exciting. I’ll try and handle the onions. It was hard. My eyes got burnt so I gave up. It was hard to cut the onions into half. Cut rings but sometimes I cry.

After we had to grill the sausages and the onions from the mad butcher. It costs $1 for sausage but I had $2 So Mr.Marks have to give me dollar change. It was sizzling and stack of logs. Mr.Marks keep rotating the sausages to make sure that the sausages don't get burnt. The onions was cooked too.



We waited in impatient anticipation. We were sitting there quiet and silent. Mr.Marks said to us “ Come and get your sausages if you have payed.

Finally we had to eat the delicious sausages the first was to get the bread then the sausage, onions and the squeezy sauce. It was delightful and crunchy. The sausages was wrapped in his blanket and it was scrumptious.All the crumbs fell down on the hard concrete.

It was yummy!!! My favourite part of the sausages was the onions and the tomato sauce.

Basketball

Room Fifteen had been doing Basketball for the next eight weeks and we don't know who the coaches are?. So we met them carefully, they told us their names it was Brooke and Tie, they told us all about basketball it can be hard for some people or it can be easy for most people.But they said " It is all about fun" The first thing we had to do was to know them well and respect them properly.

We had to learn three new skills. The first skill was jump stop it was kind of hard for some people because we had to pivot after we had to jump stopped. It was tiring and exhausting but I was tired and was puffing a lot. The next skill was dribble to the line and spin the ball around my head five times in a Pt.England way. The next skill is the same except you have to spin the ball around our body 10 times, It was lot of training. The next skill was to spin the ball around our legs like a roller coaster spinning around lots of times.

Finally we had a fun game it was like rolling the ball under our legs and when it gets to the end you have to sprint to the front and do the same thing again but when we had to get to the fields they won. Then Team four had just finished doing cross country, Then Henry said “ Yes!!! we don't have to do cross country training.

Imaginary Monster

One Day there was Dragon called Rainbow Drago and he lived in a great big castle on top of the volcano. Then the volcano erupted at night time all the thirty one small dragons was frightened and Lee the dragon died. But the black knights were coming to steal gold and give it to their master that they can buy weapons and food for their village but the Rainbow drago was too weak because the black knights had weapons but he didn't because he is a dragon. Finally the white knights came to help him and his small dragons. When they were at war the some dragons sneaked without telling Rainbow drago. After the white knights won the war they counted the small dragons and they counted twenty five Rainbow Drago said “ Maybe I counted wrong” So he counted again properly”. One dragon came up and said Lee had died, some dragons died when you were watching but he said “ Oh what had I done when my wife comes and she is going count the dragons”. So they searched all of them and they got them because they could fly and some could sprint fast. When they got to the castle they were all excited again but when the wife came back and they had a funeral.

They lived happy ever after  

Cross Country

Team 4 had being doing cross country for the next six weeks. Mr.Marks said “ Are you ready” We said “ Yes!!!” “Go!!!” Mr.Marks said loudly.
The five classes congested all together in the breeze, Some people was shoving. Next we saw Miss.Ouno at the gate she told us to go right where the field is and “you will see Miss. King”. I was jogging then I lost my energy, I was huffing and  puffing.

Most of the people was lazy and exhausted, I got some energy so I just jog slowly. Then we saw Miss. King and she said “You're next teacher is Mr.Sommerville. So we sprinted to Mr.Sommerville, Someone said “ We are close”. We taped Mr.Sommerville hand and Jogged back to school safely.

We had to walk around the courts, but some students were cheating. After that we had to do some exercise with Mr.Marks, sideways, backwards, forwards. Some exercise hurts but then my body got stronger and got healed again .  “It was fun and exhausting”. I said “ I think we are going to be fit for the next six weeks” Finally the bell rang loudly!.                                                  

Session Two: Art in Movement

The First that we had to do was to do warm ups four times to shake off the silliness and to keep the injuries away. We had to hop,skip sideways and run backwards like dominos. It was hard for my group because one person was away and nearly forgot our dance.

In our groups we had to dance by ourself in a personal place and practice practice. We learned a another groups dance it was Texas’s dance. We had fun it was a lot fun then last weeks.

Ancient Greece

The olympics began over  two and a half thousand years ago in  ancient Greece. In those days they made several states were often at war, They were Athens,Sparta Corinth. The games were Javelin,Chariot racing,Discus,long jump. when the olympics were on they will raise a flag that means that it is a truce when the olympics were on but when it is finished they will come back and fight again.

Art in Movement

Guess what happened in the hall? We were working on our art in motion!
We chose our images in class. What we had to do was pick out of these sports.
Fencing,boxing,basketball,taekwondo,diving,weightlifting. We had to pick and see who’s was the best out of six. Then we went to the hall to try them but in motion. The first motion was basketball then fencing after that was boxing then weightlifting, Diving and last of all taekwondo. We had to be recorded and then we were done

Favourite Meals

My favourite meal is mcdonalds because it juicy and yummy!!!. My Favourite is the Big Mac. I like the fries too because it is salty and my fingers get greasy and salty. I like the big mac because it has patties inside it and sauce in it, lettuce.

Olympic Symbols

This term our inquiry topic is the Olympic Games. We will be taking a close look at the London games and also uncovering some of the amazing stories of the Olympics, both past and present.

The olympic symbol better  known as the olympic rings they represent the unity of the five inhabited continents (Africa, Asia, America, Australasia,Europe). The coloured version of the blue, yellow, black, green and red and the white background forms the olympic flag. Every country had at least one colour of the symbols on their nation’s flag. The flag was created in 1914 and first raised in 1920.

In the morning room 15 marched to the art gallery and I was walking then I saw this wonderful painting. It was a painting of Pt England School. That was my favourite one!!!. The illustrator was by Chanel. There were  more paintings but that one was the best for me.

Buying My Cousin a Present

My class is doing a Go for Auction on Friday and my cousin Stacy is at Samoa She is coming on the July the 16th. I am going to buy her something surprising. It is going to be the best present ever!!! I hope she likes it.

I am going to write her a miss letter. My Family is going to help me to do the surprise perfectly. My Family missed her especially her Mum and Dad. 

She left when she was 21. We got her a Key and a cake. when someone comes home with their homework she helps us because she is smart.

My Frames And Paintings

Alien petshop

Once upon a time there was a alien called Lee he came and kidnapped me and made me as a pet. He took me to Jupiter I was scared,when they took me there a they put me in a cage where animals and humans get stuck inside. Someone sold me to a alien called Lukis he was very poor so his mum told him to buy a human pet.

Lukis treated me like a real pet he gave me slimy yucky food. One day he took me to the park I tried to run away but he was too fast. When we got home and we went to sleep I tried snuck out again.But he's Mum came to visit him and me!!!.

My best friend Vaifoa came with a shiny suit I said “ Who’s that”. I was so happy when I saw him I haven't seen him for a year. The aliens got scared of him he came and took me and went to earth.

Clay workshop

In the moment I stepped inside the art studio there was a lady called Sue and her daughter Georgia, I looked at a turtle decoration and I said “ That looks colourful like the butterfly”. I went to the seat sat down put the apron properly that was on the  chair.

First we got started by doing the instructions after that we had to design our pattern beautifly. Sue said to us “ Are you’s finished sketching your patterns”. We had our sticky and squishy clay, next we had to do cross hatching with our kebab sticks around the clay.

We had to glue around the shaped squared clay. I had to make the patterns that I drew in the beginning I sketched my best friend's initials. I rolled my small amount of clay that I had It was smooth surfaced. Then I had to use marbles and glass the glass was so sharp so we used a spoon to scoop it up.

I used multiple colours with the marbles and glass it looked wonderful. After I put my clay in the kiln after that I was doing my clay I was a chaotic mess luckily we had swimming.

I wish we had more time to do more, It was Fun.

Claude Monet

Claude Monet was a French painter he paints impressionist paintings like the bridge,sea and the garden. He enjoys the cityscape and the landscape in the season his subject is capturing the light in the moment.



Monet built  his beautiful water garden in Giverny. His subject was changing the world because every season the water constantly changes and reflects. He creates the world like the river garden he uses over and over again.


The famous japanese bridge crosses the  pond. It surrounds the trees and shrubs and the pond throughout the day. He loved his paintings so much because his colours were wonderful like the light.

Robert Deleuney

Robert Delaunay was a French painter. He and his wife Sonia invented the orphism art form. He uses vibrant colours, geometric shapes and contrasting colours. He is also a great poet writer and he is good at painting.

He wanted to use vibrant , contrasting colours, geometric shapes that can bring it to life. He represents the bright colours and he often uses objects or a person, that he can use for his paintings.

The tall women was doing her work. Robert Delaunay painted a contrasting coloured large leafed plant on the left hand side. He used circles in the center to make a table like a kitchen.

Faaiua- Could creatures live with out rain

If rain doesn't come down the sea creatures will remain alive but the creatures in land would not survive when theres no rain. If there's no water or rain people will die with no water for our oxygen


The world won't live without plants and animals will die. The animals can’t live with areas to live and either plants can’t grow with the rain. The desserts needs water and rain for the dry plants.


We need some rain for the animals because  they might die and not survive. The plants needs supplies to get water or rain so they could grow big.We had to survive with water to drink and stay alive. without rain we won’t grow crops or vegetables.


people needs a house to live and get water from their taps. Some people gets angry when it rains but it helps things grow and live. Farmers has cows and sheeps to get milk and blankets. But some people were really happy of the rain so the crops can grow and people can drink. The city needs water to drink when they're at work. But some city gets really happy when it rains. There dams needs to keep full so there is enough water to drink.

Jackson Pollock

Paul Jackson pollock is a French men he is  married to a Lady called Lee Krasner and he lived in New York. He was a very special man because he was a painter who flicked his paints, dripped paints and he used his imagination.

He was born on 28 January 1912 Cody Wyoming . He died on 11 August 1956. He died at Springs, New York because he had a car
crash . He died at 44 years of age “ That was too young”.

Jackson Pollock was always messy and  because of that he was a very fantastic painter. He splatter the paint use multiple colours, vibrant colours and He used a waste of a paint. His paint was beautiful, sticky and icky it looked funny. He sells his paintings it costs lots of money “he must be rich I reckon”


So my wonderful class made a undefinable paint we taped our A3 paper on our cardboard we went outside and we saw the vibrant colours it felt like chaotic mess we flicked, dribbled, splattered and I flicked my paint over my shoulder went on someone else’s paint.

Faaiua's swimming lesson's

 On a beautiful hot day Room Fifteen had swimming at the YMCA Pools. We got changed quickly into our togs in the toilets and we lined up and went off. When we  got there we could smell the the deep blue water. then we went and had a Rinse.

The lovely instructor Ben said “Who knows how to come in the water safely”. We patiently waited because we didn't know how to do it.  so Taniela put his hand up he turned around then went inside the water safely and Quietly.

all the student in that Group copied him. then Ben said “ put your bottoms on the wall” because we are going to have a breathing competition. I came last but I didn't care. Meleane won and she had to go first in our swimming lesson. It was nearly my turn so I had a big breath and went off  to the island. I couldn't breath so I put my head up and had a small breath then I went at the back of the line again .

Finally The Instructor Ben said “Last one out is the rotten egg”. When I arrived at the showers I  had one because we need to get all of the chlorine off . I went to the toilets to get changed into my uniform and after that we walked back to school and had our lunch.

It was so cool there, even though I came last we had fun!!!   

Swimming lessons

Hi my name Faaiua that was me swimming at the G.I pools I couldn't breath under the water when I was swimming. 

Faaiua's Holiday

In the afternoon in the holidays my family went to the movies at Sylvia Park we watched Wrath of the Titans. Me and my cousins watched it but not mum, dad, little sister and little brother. We waited for my mum and dad because we were waiting for the food and tickets. When we had our ticket we had to go to Cinema 8. When we got inside there wasn’t many people there so we had to look for our seats. When the movie was finished we went to Mcdonalds to eat. We waited for my dad because he dropped off my sister and cousins. Then we went home and went sleep. It was so much fun going to the movies with my mum, dad, sister and cousins.

Sleeping in tent

When it was time to go and sleep in our tent we had to wear our PJ’s. Then we went to sleep but I heard a strange noise outside and whispering. The teachers heard it as well so they got the kids and put them in the staff room with the teachers. Finally I had a good sleep but I was hot so I took my jumper off.

School camp

I am looking forward to going to camp. Kayaking and sleeping in a tent are what
I cant wait for because I have not slept in a tent before. Also I am looking forward to meeting some more friends.

I am nervous about kayaking because I might fall off the boat but luckily we will have our life jackets on.

Blindfold Obstacle Course

This Morning we had a blindfolded obstacle course. It looked very hard because Mr Marks said , “We had to wear a blindfold .”

The First ones were Texas and Henry but the other ones was Laita and Mele they started of funny but they were Brave. Finally its our turn my partner was Sione he was the one to do the obstacle I was the one to guide him through the obstacle course. He balanced on the long seat, walked through the ropes, over the small red beams and  the big blue beam, zig zag across the cones, under the tarpaulin, over the matches, up the stairs and jumped down the stage to the big blue matches. After that we had to take it off  then go to the back of the line.

I had fun. It was cool.

Our School Picnic

  

Last Friday the whole Pt England school went to the Pt.England Reserve. We walked across the Reserve and the playground and we sat down on wet grass.  

Mr Burt told us some rules. If you have no food or water Mrs Slade and Miss Lagitupu have some. We looked for a spot to sit  on our tarpaulin.  Then we went to play.

We played touch its like football touch but its  football. It was cool. We were playing with Mr Marks and Mr Barks. I got a touchdown that means a score.

After that we had a rest because we had to swim. We went to change our clothes quickly before we went to swim. It was awesome I played with Henry and Vaifoa. Then it was time to change our clothes again so we went to the changing room and had a shower.

After that I changed my clothes but I lost my pants. I told my teacher and he said " Have you checked again” and I said “yes" . So I had to wear my pants that I swam with because it couldn’t get dry.

I played Baseball. It was fun playing baseball. It was time to go back to school where we had free time on our Net-books before we had to go home.
