Reality Trip

    Reality Trip
There was 5 New Zealanders that went to Sri Lanka, there names are Stephanie, Kieran, Peter, Stevie and Anna. The documentary is about what it's like in other countries and what they do on a daily basis. They experienced a lot of challenging work. They had to pluck tea leaves. They have to pluck 18 kilos per day. But they only plucked 4-5 kilos in 8 hours.

The most shocking part is plucking 18 kilos everyday. It will take a long time to get the hang of it. If they don’t get 18 kilos, they won't survive. The mothers and their daughter pluck 60 kilos in 8 hours. They probably get paid over 4000 rupees which is probably 30 New Zealand Dollars. They have to stand for 8 hours.

At the end of the day, they went to weigh in. But they only got 4 kilos. They got 480 rupees, in New Zealand money it was $4.80. If they pluck 4 kilos for whole week they could get small money. All the mothers bring their daughters everyday to pluck. Thats going to keep on going and going until one of them gets a scholarship or they get lucky and go to somewhere.
